Women's clothing sales: once it goes, it is gone

Before the cut, what tells you about a garment is the yarn. This selection brings together trousers, knitwear and outerwear, from 61 different houses.

P.A.R.O.S.H. began by customising vintage in Bologna, and the acronym says so: the initials of Paolo Rossello and of that second hand it started from. Max Mara has a coat known by a number, the 101801 drawn in 1981: ninety per cent virgin wool and ten cashmere, kimono sleeve, one hundred and twenty centimetres long. Marine Serre built everything around two things: the crescent moon printed all over, and the reuse of materials that already exist.

In Friuli the sales start on the first Saturday of January and the first Saturday of July, and run to the end of March and the end of September: one of the longest sale periods in Italy. Whether you are looking for a piece for an occasion, a wardrobe to renew or something that crosses the seasons, you find a narrow selection, signed by the same people who welcome you in the boutique.
